Construction on the country’s largest infrastructure project, Auckland’s City Rail Link, has once again halted in light of the recent COVID-19 lockdown.

Earlier this month, pre-lockdown, two sections of New Zealand’s deepest railway station joined up after an underground breakthrough at City Rail Link’s Karangahape Station.

With the pause on construction at our sites this month, we thought it might be a good time to do a bit of a u-turn historically.

This month we turn the spotlight on one of our health & safety experts, Angel Sturm.

Late July, the Link Alliance launched the ‘Mt Eden Art Walk’, a self-guided, family-friendly journey of artwork installed on CRL hoardings around the site. This month, Link Alliance launched a wellness pilot program aimed to support the wellbeing of the Mt Eden Community.

Residents around Symonds Street and Eden Terrace have been asking about what these small white flying-saucer shaped discs are along the pavement that have seemingly “popped-up out of nowhere”.

On the evening of Thursday 29 July, our main contractor Link Alliance was named the joint winner of the innovation category with TROW Group for the 2021 Tāmaki Makaurau Zero Waste Awards.
